Valid XHTML:

Caching:

• ARF contains a highly flexible caching mechanism, allow the layout designer to cache portions of a page for different periods and for different audiences. Every ARF control can be cached, either the XML or the HTML produced by the transformation, which can dramatically improve response times.

Fix SharePoint invalid HTML:

• SharePoint generates some invalid, non XHTML, code and ARF can be used to fix your final output. ARF will remove or fix any invalid SharePoint code, ensuring that you final website is fully XHTML and AA compliant.
